I drive the very latest hovercar
I don’t know where you are
But I miss you so much till then
I met someone who looks a lot like you
She does the things you do
But she is an IBM.

  1. I didn’t think the manga recon podcast wasn’t necessarily boring, just very impersonal. I think even if we didn’t know you were reading from something you wrote it would’ve been obvious something was different (like with the tripping over your words). Maybe in the future if you wrote notes for key points you want to touch on and then semi-improvise the reviews so that the words coming out are fresh even if the ideas you have already figured out in advance.

Dude, Korea??? I guess I’ll have to wait until you guys explain.

Ill do show notes Erin, just let me Listen to this one first. Expect them in an hour.

  3. Dude, you should totally have meeeeeeee read your manga reviews. I would overact them tremendously, and it would be awesome.

I enjoyed the manga review show!! πŸ˜€ I don’t see a lot of manga where I am in Australia, so it’s good to hear about what’s out there. Thanks for doing it ^.^

Man, I got all kinds of love in this episode.

As “The Guy From Hawaii Who Though The David Ng Interview Was Boring” — the interview not the man — I quite enjoyed the manga reviews. Yeah, they had the “I’m Reading This” vibe, but they were well-written, which is what’s critical. Plus, the reviewed manga that I may now want to buy, which is just sort of a bonus.

I’m starting to feel like the asshole here, but I swear I’m not that bad. πŸ™‚

    Hi πŸ™‚

Well, your show has officially contaminated Sydney Australia XP – saw the article in Newtype USA and decided to check it out. You guys are fun to listen to, it was way better than radio, all intersting, and easy to listen to while i was just siting at home chilling and doing my final assessments. you two have great chemistry on air. Just really wierd and random anime related (sometimes ;p) crap to listen to. I’m subscribed, so you’ve got another regular listener, and i’ll try get my friends hooked πŸ™‚

    keep casting, it’s great.

Hooray for the second best anime podcast in the ‘verse! …right behind the Anime Boston podcast, of course. πŸ˜‰

You guys gonna be at Anime USA?
    Just curious.

    • Glad you like it! Although we prefer Weekly Anime Review to the Boston podcast any day of the week.

We won’t go to Anime USA. The convention schedule for next year is probably going to be Ohayocon, A-Kon, and Otakon. If I’m very lucky I might spend a Saturday at AnimeNext, Anime Boston, and/or Onnafest.

I’m on the Onnafest podcast too, by the way!

Okay, I’m going to go sulk. πŸ™

        • Why are you sulking? Are you the host of the Anime Boston ‘cast? Don’t get me wrong, I like it a lot, but I’m not too hot about American voice actors, so two out of their three shows are not the most interesting. I’m sure they’re going somewhere with their show, though.

Oh, yes…we have plans. *rubs hands together* Plans…

          • Well, if you ever plan on making promos or playing promos for other podcasts, let me know! We just recorded a very “ITT Technical Institute” ninja consultant promo. I’d play an Anime Boston promo.

That was awsome! Your best show ever…at least in my opinion. Keep up the good work!
